Autumn leaves (Haiku)

 W.A.L.T Write a Haiku

Wednesday Thursday and Friday we have been learning about haiku poems. On Wednesday we went  to the domain  to see and find some leaves then we went back to class and write a Haiku.

Jump into big piles.

Leaves are falling on the ground.

My brief recount on the trip to the red zone!

 W.A.L.T Write brief recount 

On Monday the 10th May the senior syndicate went to the RED ZONE! We were  experiencing being a Refuge when we went it was raining and it was cold. Whenever the teachers blew a whistle we had to hide behind a bush,tree or anything else. Miss Pownall,Mr Gray,Miss Holland,Miss Steweret and Miss More all came. Each teacher had an activity we did the activity in our house groups we also walked there in our house group. Miss Pownalls activity she was running was so you have a buddy and your buddy or you will be blind folded and there will be things on the grass and your buddy will tell you directions so you wont  step on the things on the floor.

 If you are blind folded you cant talk if you step on one of the things on the grass you and your buddy is out. When you get to the finish line you swap so you will Gide your buddy and your buddy will be blind folded. I thought is was really fun but it was also very hard. Mr Gray's activity was making a fort in 5 minutes he had tarps and string to help us. We were allowed to be in groups I was in a group with Izzy Amelia and Ocea we spent most of our time planning and only had 2 minutes until time was up but I didn't really mind.

 Miss Holland and Miss More´s activity was we had this sheet and it was in marinade and to find out what the words mean Miss Holland and Miss More was doing sign language to help us find out what it means we were In pears my partner was Izzy. Miss Stewerts activity wasn't really an activity it was eating rice my house group and an other house group got hot rice and the other two house groups got wet and soggy rice. I diffident like the rice that much. After all the activity's we walked back to school. I thought it was really fun but I wouldn't want to be a refuge any time soon.

We have spend a long time on these reports about our school. We Interviewed Miss Daines ( our principal) and had a walk around the school for some notes. I thought  everything was really fun.\

NZSO😍🌵🍒

 We went to the symphony orchestra on Thursday 11 March 2021.We went with the senior sinder kit. It was put on at the town hall.We saw the symphony orchestra. They made music by  play instruments.They let us go Because we were good. My favourite part was at the start people were doing crazy hand actions and the other schools did the same! It was really funny me and London did it as well. My favourite instrument there is the trumpet because I like the sound. Actually my favourite instrument is piano but there wasn't a piano. I  felt board because it was really boring.

I loved camp. Thank you for all the planning you did for us.
I loved the river crossing. I would be really happy if I went to Arthur's pass
for school camp again because of you.

Athurs pass summary

 On Monday the 15  of  February  We went to Athurs pass for school camp. We stayed for 2 nights. It was really fun!! I liked the river crossing and I also liked the sensory trail. My favorite activity was when we made the huts. I did not like the walks we did. We had nachos one night and pizza the other night. My favourite was the pizza because I didn't like the beans in  the nachos. I had lots of fun but i'm glad to be back in  christchurch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

News Argument

I strongly believe  that we should be able to talk when the news is on. 

Firstly its not fair because our parents get to  watch the news when it is our no tv day.

Secondly the news is rubbish its just being nosy about the world. Adults  are aloud to talk when ever  they want but kids cant. 

Lastly  I think people can watch the news but we can talk my sister and I have just as important stuff to say and talk about than the news. 

In conclusion i absolutely believe  we should be able  to talk when the news is on.
